Do people in the United States have more difficulty with being “wrong” about something, than people in other countries? Why does American culture “activate the ego”?
God’s learning-framework, or life, offers the opportunity to succeed without, or because, one is not getting everything they want. Specifically, productively resolved hardship creates wisdom and emotional maturity—tools for success and happiness.
When one does not get what they want, they can either conclude that they are victim of life, or, that there are possibly more important principles at work in God’s plan. Awareness of objective truth arises this way. Maturing individuals learn to see the wisdom in life’s negative feedback. And the latter ‘realization’ is achieved only with reason. With it, a person also learns how to be wrong.
Sometimes the feedback seems unfair. But this is key. Life is not about what the individual (God’s plan remember) wants. Again, a person must learn how to be wrong even when they think the result is unfair. An individual is required to look for the “truth” of the ‘unfair’ life feedback. Only reason, in time, will produce answers. And that is why unfair events happen—for REASON. However, with reason, the individual acquires problem solving skills, and success in life follows. Rejoice in it. It is mental evolution.
Previously, America and the west, have not experienced much hardship. Now, it’s citizens are increasingly emotionally immature. Hardship will soon return to, again, bring about reason. It is unfortunate.
